Metolius River

Description

Immerse yourself in the pristine and pure Metolius River, in Central Oregon. This painting pushes our Introductory Class students forward and teaches them the different skills to show depth and dimension. This painting does not simply focus on one object in nature, but captures the beauty of an entire landscape, requiring students to take their time, being sure they recognize all the small details that create this painting. Students will learn how to paint features of nature like mountains and wild scenic rivers, and become comfortable with the mystic world of shadows. Students will learn that water is their friend in this watercolor painting and they will need to cut loose a little to capture the movement of the river.

• Liner brush

• Mop brush
• 140 lb 11×15 watercolor cold press paper
• Art eraser
• Liquid Masking Fluid
• Rubber Cement Eraser
